Tooltrak is a compact, low ground pressure tool carrier with front PTO and linkages. Start with the Tooltrak 75, or choose a version already configured for launch and recovery or reed harvesting.
The Tooltrak Reed Harvester is a purpose-built, low ground pressure machine for harvesting reed and many other types of wetland vegetation. Its rubber tracks spread the machine's weight so evenly that it can work on soft, environmentally sensitive sites with minimal disturbance to plants, wildlife and the ground beneath.
At the front, a modified BCS reaper-binder head, a simple and reliable system proven over many years, cuts the crop and ties it into bundles. The patented binding mechanism cuts the twine automatically once each bundle is complete, and bundle diameter is set simply by adjusting the release spring tension. The cutter bar takes three types of finger: standard, low-cut and anti-clogging, which is fitted as standard for reed.
A variable-speed, hydraulically driven chain conveyor collects the bundles behind the head and carries them up the centre of the vehicle to the rear platform. From there they can be stacked loose on a towed sledge or trailer, or loaded into a baling frame to form bales of around 80–100 bundles. Bales can be tied with twine, strapping or reusable ratchet straps, and wrapped in plastic sheet for outdoor storage. Their size makes them easy to handle mechanically and to transport by lorry.
