The Softrak Launch + Recovery variant is engineered specifically to tackle demanding self-recovery tasks, equipment extraction, and heavy pulling operations across extreme environments where traction is compromised.
Equipped with integrated high-capacity hydraulic and electric winching options — such as long-drum wire rope systems and under-body mounts — this platform provides reliable pulling force and stability. Its ultra-low ground pressure footprint ensures that rescue and recovery missions can be executed in sensitive wetlands without causing severe environmental degradation.
Developed in partnership with the RNLI to launch and recover D-Class and Atlantic-class inshore lifeboats from their drive-on/drive-off trolley, the system is rated to wade to a depth of 1 metre and withstand momentary swamping without stalling. To maximise corrosion resistance in estuary and coastal conditions, the chassis, undercarriage, body and cab are shot blasted, acid pickled, and hot-dip galvanised, with all fasteners and hydraulic fittings in Grade A4 stainless steel.
*Please Note: A suitable rear mounting configuration is required on the base machine.
